A project for two or more people:

The Grodnoer Zeitung was a newspaper published briefly at the end of the
Czarist Russian era. It is available at Hoover Library (Stanford U.) in
hardcopy. Hoover will not lend it. It is also available on microfilm
from Norman Ross so some other library may have purchased it.
We could buy it also, but we don't use our funds if there is any other
way to get access.

We need someone to evaluate it. First you have to find it. Web
addresses for some major libraries are in Michael Steinore's recent
article in Avotaynu.

Possibly someone who knows a little Russian could look at it in the Hoover
Library. I don't know whether it was a l ocal Grodno city paper or
whether it covered affairs of the entire gubernia.
