I'm not sure if I have any useful information for you. But Your message caught my eye because of some similarities. My grandfather's name was Erwin Otto Gross. All I know about him is that he was born in Sheboygon Wis. and married Mrytle Loohauis. They divorced before my mother, Irene Anita Gross was born. Ironically, my mom married David E. Schumacher, whose mother was Naomi Hoffman. I wonder if there are any connections?
