I have read a few of the messages on blue babies. I was told that a blue
baby is when the mother is RH neg and the father is RH pos. It is where the
mother's antibodies distore the babies antibodies. Usually the mother has
to have the Rhogam shot with in 24 hrs after she has birth. When I had my
2nd child 7 yrs after my 1st was born I got the shot in my 3rd trimester and
again after the baby was born. Normally the mother has A-neg blood, but it
can happen with mothers of other types of blood. At least that is what I
have been told by my doctors when my daughter was born in 1988.
