Hello Kathy,

If the information the Suffield Library gave you is from the Barbour
Index of Connecticut Vital Records, then they are from the vital
records.

Have you written to the Salmon Brook Historical Society. The Loomis
family was a very prominent family in the Granby, CT area. The Society
has a web site at http://www.harborside.com/home/p/p2241/sbhs.html
It will give you an idea of what they have, as well as a few of the
family names they have in their files. It also gives a address to write
to for assisstance. From personal experience I can tell you they are
very good at helping with your research!
