New Kid on the Block with this issue.
Please contact me if your gen goes back to James Clark, one of the NewHaven
Colony Founders of 1638 who came on the Hector with Rev Davenport & Theo
Eaton in 1637 from ENG. as I am a direct desc of this James Clark, and I know
that there are many branches to that Family.
My wf is a direct desc of John Carman, 1631 MA, later was briefly at New
Haven Colony, but went to Long Island where he was a founder of Hempstead,
L.I. N.Y.,
His Fam resided at Oyster Bay nearby - his fam md into Dutch fams.
I am also a desc of John Gibson, of MA 1631, Newtowne, Newton, Cambridge who
had many desc, including Charles Dana Gibson famous N.Y. illustrator who is
reknown for his "Gibson Girl" illustrations. My Grandmother, Grace Idella
Gibson Clark was a Cousin to that illustrator so we called her our Gibson
Girl.
If any of these strike your chime, let me hear from you as I have lots more
to share with you if you can relate to any of these immigrants.
If you hail from Southington, I visited there a few years ago - where our
Clark Farms was located, the Clark Farms ro(now Meriden Ave) and our 1720-
1730 Clark house still stands today.
My James Clark moved from New Haven to Stratford - so I hope to find some
Stratford desc who relate to James Clark or any of his branches.
Or if you are familiar with the Barnes Museum at Southington CT - I would
like to hear from you.
John Lothropp is another of my Lines via the Clark Line - the Lathrop/Lothrop
Lines were in CT & of course MA, et al, let me hear from that Line also.
Thank you.
Carroll Clark (male)
Snohomish WA 33 mi NE of Seattle, near the Everett Boeing 747, 767, 777
Plant.

1940.
Visited CT a few yrs ago - loved it but it was not a gen trip so you know how
that goes with those who haven't been bitten by the "bug".
Looking for your queries & I will ans them by e-mail not via the Digest so as
not to congest the screens with superfluous communications.
