Hi, I am planning a research trip to Connecticut. I have a membership
card in the Conn. Soc. of Genealogist's. Will that help me avoid any
major hassles when I need to get vital records in the Town clerk's
offices? The time frame I am searching is 1840 up into early 1900's. The
area is Litchfield county. The families were Irish Catholic. The
Archdiocese of Hartford has an open access policy? Am I able to view the
microfilmed records myself? Does anyone know the hours of the Litchfield
Historical Society? Are there town libraries in Terryville, Plymouth,
and Thomaston? How difficult is it to get around Hartford?
Thanks, Nancy
