Edward 1) SHEPARD's first wife Violet CHARNOLD were my 9th gr grandparents.

It was thought for years and years that Violet's surname probably was
WOLERTON because of Gregory WOLERTON-
Her name was CHARNOLD, it was her sister who was one of the wives of Gregory
[so it is thought] WOLERTON.

See Heritage Quest vol 22, 23, & 24; in vol 22 pg 67, researched by
Lawrence I. SHEPARD, you will find that her name was CHARNOLD the d/o John
and Joan (---)
