This is certainly a long shot, but does anyone have info on either of these
folks or their son, John?
Perhaps it would disprove a "theory" of mine. I would love it if helped
"prove" it instead!

My information states that John Jarvis was born on January 23, 1724 or 25
in Norwalk, CT.
He married Catherine Raymond on October 6, 1751. (I have this family back a
couple of generations through someone elses research)

Their son was also named John (b. June 18, 1753) (I don't know where)
My information also states that he died in the US, but this may just be
hearsay or common belief - there is no paper trail.

This man could be my gggg-grandfather.........
My "theory" is that John the younger may have fought for the British in the
Revolutionary War, and through a series of events, ended up in Nova Scotia
with a British land grant in 1783/4. An uncle of his apparently was a
Loyalist and had gone to New Brunswick, Canada when the war broke out, so
this is not completely far-fetched.

If anyone on this list can shed light on any of the foregoing, or could
direct me to sources for information I need, I would be thrilled!!
