Subject: [GenConnecticut-L] Contact the Governor about .. Town Clerks !
Date: Fri, 11 Apr 2003 05:22:58 -0400
Hello,
I've been reading your complaints about the Town Clerks and City Clerks in
CT, and I'd like to make a suggestion. Why not start a letter-writing
campaign .. to get "genealogy" to have more respect in CT !!
There is an e-mail address for Gov. Rowland on his web site:
http://www.state.ct.us/governor/
Most of the time the "Governor's Office" ("staff") takes care of their
e-mails (and slow-mail letters). And, if they receive enough of them on
the same subject, the matter will come to the Governor's attention!
(Check out that page for some of the other things the State is spending
money on right now!)
By the way, on the News this week, the Mayor of the City of Boston announced
that many fees were going up, and some of them were fees for the City
Clerk's office.
