Was Joshua Atkins (b. 1783 in Truro Barnstable MA; ma. Sally Snow 1808) the proprietor of a shipping company called the House of Atkins & Co.?  It sounds like this company may have employed my ancestor William Hale,( merchant,b.1794 Newburyport MA d.1821 Matanzas)  according to William's  two obituaries.(7/31 & 7/30/1821, Boston Daily Advertiser & Boston Commercial Gazette).  I would appreciate any info. regarding Joshua Atkins, also his date and place of death. This may help me trace my family line.Thanks, Isabelle Gilmore
