I think we should leave things as they are. I think Tracey's done a
great job of running the list, and if we wish to have a moderated list,
there's a bound to be a hitch once in awhile. One of the "joys" of being
human is that sometimes our lives get complicated. (Mine has been, lately, so
I identify, I guess.) Perhaps it would be helpful to Tracey to have an
assistant for when life gets too hectic while the list is closed??? Anyway,
I'd rather have a delayed posts once in awhile then deal with some of the
unpleasantness the open lists involve.

I think I may have subscribed after the decision was made to go moderated. I
for one am NOT in favor of moderation...I know some spam and stuff will slip
through I am on 65 different lists..so I have seen alot of it. However, with
moderated lists some posts never make it through or when they do make it
through it sometimes comes very late. I know some of my posts didn't show
up...in a couple of weeks I will try again. I understand that things happen
but with an open list even with a tornado in one part of the country, visiting
relatives, sick relatives, emergencies of any kind....posts still get posted.
I didn't understand closing the list because of a flame thread..that happens
on every list but closing the list for a couple of weeks isn't right on those
who did not participate in that or for the ones
who may have needed this list for something. Anyway, thats my .02 on the idea
of moderated lists.
