Hi All,

I have had many messages regarding these old letters. Two people told
me that some of these letters were printed in a book entitled "Freistadt
and the Lutheran Immigration". I also understand that this book was
available through Pommern Verein Freistadt a few years ago.

I have also been told that I can send the last few letters as long as
I mention the book, which I have just done above. Since I did not get my
copies from the book and do not know which letters are in the book and
which are not, I will mention the book's name with each letter I send
from now on.

This letter may or may not be included in the book "Freistadt and the
Lutheran Immigration"
8th and last letter: (Part 2, continued)

Greetings from Friedrich Heidke. He came to town last weekend and seems
fine. I hope you get this letter in time. I should have written
earlier, but you know how I am. Please forgive me. Greet all my
friends and acquaintances, your wife and children, your in-laws, C.
Heidke, Schulz Steffen, Wangerin, old Father Wilke and his son-in-law,
and also Schaefer Kurth. Tell them they should be ready to come in the
spring, because it's better for traveling than during the late summer.
We are living well and peacefully here in America. I can't think of
anything else to write. May the peace of God be with you and all who
love Jesus Christ.

Your brother,
J. C. W. Pritzlaff

Dear August,

I left this page of my letter for Gottfried Dreyer. He said he wanted
to write a few lines to you, so I left my letter at this house for two
days. However, he didn't write because he forgot. He is fine and sends
his greetings. Greet Wangerin in Trieglaff for him. Carl Heuer and
Zastrow send their greetings to Schaefer Kurth and Grochow. They like
it here very much.

I can't think of anything else to write. I think I've mentioned
everything. Once, again, - greetings from my famiy.

Your brother,
Johann Carl Wilhelm Pritzlaff.
