I don't think site is quite what you want, but you could probably go here
and at least find the regiment they served in...a place to start. I found
my gr-gr-grandfather and his brother.

Does anyone know the site to go to...to order forms to obtain Civil War
papers
that they might have on our ancestors? I thought there was a place in
Washington DC where you could go to to pay ten dollars or so to find info?

Also, I once ran across a site in Madison that had Civil War certificates on
your ancestors too, and you paid little money to obtain copies. Does anyone
know of that site? thanks for being so helpful.. Char
