Hi Jerry,

Do you know if these Thompson's were related to Mary Thompson, daughter
of John and Mary Davis Thompson. The daughter, Mary Thompson, married Joshua
Hadley in PA abt 13 Jun 1750. They were the parents of my ancestor, Thomas
Hadley. John and Mary Davis Thompson are where I dead end with this line.Any
help would be appreciated. Thompsons are only slightly more fun than Smiths
and Jones.
There are many errors in the Hadley Society data base. This material
was put together a few decades ago. Now that we are in the "Information
Age", we are finding "new" information regularly that contradicts, or adds
to, these earlier writings. I'll make these corrections and they will be
uploaded in the next batch. We only do this every few months or so, as
material volume of data warrants, and time allows.
I just returned from a trip to Fayetteville and Snow Camp (Cane Creek)
NC. I found a few more tidbits. John Allen is the current archivist for the
Cane Creek MM, and he gave me and my mom the tour of the area, and also an
introduction to Wade Hadley, b 1909, who is truly amazing at any age, much
less over 90. I took a lot of notes and will be writing up a few of the
points of interest in the next days. John Allen and I discussed some of the
features of the upcoming Cane Creek MM 250th anniversary celebration on Oct
5 of this year. John is really a fine man and I am most pleased to have met
him and made a new "Friend". It was very rewarding to ride around with him
as he showed us all the old family home sites of the original Quaker
families. I'm certainly going back Oct 5 for the 250th anniversary family
reunion and hope you can make it as well. It would be fun to meet you,
especially on such an occasion. Thanks for the correct information.

John Hadley
