Just to claify this thread. Thomas Hagans was first noted in the 1768 census
in old Rowan Co., NC (now Davie Co.). He married the niece of Daniel Boone,
Sarah Wilcoxson (daughter of John Wilcoxson and Sarah Boone). Rachel
Brinegar is "thought" to be a daughter of Thomas Hagans, but it has not been
proven.

Thomas Hagans was a chain carrier for Boone when he surveyed land in the
area that became Kentucky. Thomas then settled on some of that land in what
would become Clark Co., KY. Two of his children, David Sr. and Sarah,
married in Clark Co., KY.
