Thankyou for these, Chris.
Enjoyed seeing Redbridge & Rownhams again.
For 5 yrs I passed through Redbridge 5 days a wk on may way to & from school
in Totton & home in Southampton.
We used to go bike riding along the very rural Rownhams Lane, gathering
blackberries for jam or pies & wood for the fireplace. It's hard to believe
that this lane is now a very busy main route from Southampton to Winchester.
I think it's a 4-lane highway, isn't it?
A sister of my Romsey-born Grandpa used to work the tiny village store/sub
post office almost opposite the lovely wee St John's Church for years.
