Subject: [HANCE] Three Gaelic "Merry Christmas" greetings?
Date: Sun, 19 Dec 1999 11:08:45 -0800

Eddie:

Your new Imac must be running smoothly? Sure, ask away, but post the
genealogy observation to the list.

I see three references to Merry Christmas in Gaelic: Irish, Scottish and
Gaelic on the largest list. Happy New Year is included on some.
Maybe someone else can differentiate the "why" of the third version?

No answer to the Y2k diddy and question, we'll know in two weeks.

Did not see a specific "Cherokee" greeting listed, but Navajo and Iroquois
were. Believe Cherokee considered in the Iroquois language group?
