Hello,
I must apologize to you and all other Mormons for my inflamitory remarks,
they were pure gut reaction to finding confirmation of the things that had
been suspected. I have been investigating and I am sorry I had seen msg.s
concerning Polygamy on here before, Something about the persecuted Polygamst..
I have been reading extensively and I am no less confused by how and why... I
do not know how you would separate, the issue of Pural marriages, numerous
Children by several women, corruption of historical data on family events.
"ie" my great grand father who DID NOT become Mormon, with his baptism being
reported 25 years after his death ... That Presbytarian must have been Rolling
in his
Grave !!! Yet his Baptism and belief system are totally disreguarded and
perverted to the world. He was not and did not support the Mormon faith, and
probley grieved long and hard over his Children and losing them to this cult.
He would have veiwed this as a cult and abhoration of the family and marriage.
I personally would like to know how Brigham young supported 56 wives and
their households? I would like to know Who did all the work to support these
Pural families?? When Joesph Smith's Wife used the Relief society to prostest
his taking of other women and violating her as a wife and mother ... she was
deposed and Eliza R. Snow, put in her place to re enforce the Pural marriages.
Was Eliza R. Snow also the daughter of Warren Snow ? The same Bishop that had
24 year old, Thomas Lewis, castrated and left for dead ? Who was the financee
of Thomas Lewis that was forced to marry Snow and the reason that Thomas
Lewis was Driven insane by the cruelty and brutality of the acts perpetrated
upon him? And Then she was Forced to marry Warren Snow. How was Eliza R.
Snow related to this man ? The woman who was the Leader of all Mormon Women..
Definitely a Co (?) Wife to the women in my family.
These were some of the issues that I am questioning conmsidering that I have
at least three aunts that were married to Brigham Young , Joesph Smith and I
assume that they were part of this migration to Utah.
I doubt they were amoung the ones that were subjected to the hardship of hand
carts and Likely went with the with the first group with full compliments, of
Brigham Young and his 56 wives.
I also Question the Policy of Blood Atonement..and Castration for sins? I
would like to know which lists would I address these concerns to? In the
historical sense ? I personally am not and will not ever be a Mormon. I have
to address the Issuses of my family being involved with this Organation Since
the 1830's. Since they were intermarried to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.
And my Uncles were married with NUMEROUS wives each...
I would like know how Bigham Young maintained 56 households, supported 56
families, I want to know the ECONOMICS of it all.
I also would like to know the name of the lost child in the Mountain Meadow
Massacre, If she was adopted by a Childless Mormon Couple, raised and married
and raised a mormon Family... At the most she was 8 when they children were
returned to their families since only 5 or 6 year olds were the oldest ones
allowed to live, not being clubbed and hatchted to death. Why could she not
be produced to go back to her family, What was her name? Or was She murdered
to keep her quiet ?
Why was an infant murdered, since the bones were
scattered how do we know that the infant was really murdered ? I am sorry if
these are offensive questions. I wanted to know if my family were envolved in
the events.
I recieved some very nice replies and I thank everyone for their prospective.
I recieved also letters from numerous people who were disappointed that It
was considered not a topic for this group. I have seen praises for the
ancesters who went to jail to support the beleif of polygamy yet, no criticism
is to be allowed?
I wish everyone a Happy Holidays
Victoria
