My HANKS lineage is: my paternal grandmother was Willie M. HANKS, daughter
of William E. HANKS and Virginia Dunaway. She knew she was related to
Lincoln but no one cared enough to ask about the lineage. We know for
certain that we are only indirectly related to Nancy HANKS herself but I am
having difficulty locating the male HANKS line that are my direct ancesters.
I subscribe to the Hanks Historical Review which comes out of Ohio. My
grandmother and grandfather's marriage is noted in the book The Lineage of
Lincoln by Barton "Willie M. HANKS married William Fillmore LUTTRELL in
Richmond County Virginia on November 1877".
If you can be of any help to me in locating siblings of William E. HANKS and
also his parents, I would greatly appreciate it.
