CIVIL WAR SOLDIERS
The three Hanks boys, Millard, Roland, and Lewis who walked from
Harrison to Izard County were too young for military service during
the Civil War, but a member of other young Hanks men in Arkansas
served the Confederate cause. These would be cousins and uncles of
Millard, Roland, and Lewis. The following list was obatined from
the National Archives in Wshington D.C.
