My ancestor is Lucretia Hanks, the eldest daughter of Luke Hanks II and Nancy Ann Dale. According to Brenda Warren she is the "Lucretia" who married Solomen Pruitt/Prewitt (1775-1825) in 1799 in South Carolina:

"Actually all of the Hanks researchers list Lucretia as a daughter of Luke II and Nancy Dale. Nancy Dale would have been Luke's second wife and was considerably younger than him.

"After I found the information about Lucretia Hanks having married a Mr. Pruitt and their birth years fitting Solomen and Lucretia, I started looking at census and found that they had lived in the same vicinity in SC. I don't have any documented proof but the similarity of the information that I found on them is to great for me not to think that Lucretia Hanks is indeed Solomen's wife."
