A friend of mine, Margaret Lucille McKibben May, had Charlie Hanks for her maternal grandfather. Charlie married Bertha Surface, and Bertha later remarried-- Wilbur Meisner. Ruth Hanks is my friend's mother, and she said Charlie Hanks was Indian, but does not know the tribe. My friend was born in the Quapaw, OK area.
Ruth Hanks married: Charlie McKibben, Ivan Cotman, Jay Hodge, and lastly, Phil Hornbuckle. Ruth had two children--Margaret Lucille McKibben and Charles Leroy McKibben. Any info you have would be appreciated.
