Can someone please help me understand.
If you are researching Charles Hanks and Christine Hargrave you have probably come accoss this. I am wondering about the John Hans that married Alexandrine Clement. Does anyone have documentation that proves that John who married Alexandrine Clement is the son of Charles and Christine Hargrave. I was wondering what info anyone might have on this John Hans from Father Herbert's Books or possible the Church in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. I assume John Hans died between 1857-1860 because his youngest son was born in 1857 and Alexandrine remarried in 1860. He is possbly buried somewhere in Grand Coteau. The question is that Alexandrine is said to have married John Hans b. 1803 . However, he is listed in 1850 census as a Cobbler from Germany and his age is 35 which means he would have been born around 1815. Also what confuses me is that if John married Alexandrine in 1844 that would mean he waited until he was 41 to get married?? Also on the marriage license it looks odd tha!
t it states that John is over the age of 21.
If anyone could help resolve this or shed some light I would appreciate.
Let me know if you can help me.
Thanks
