James and Margaret were from Lenoir Co, NC. The transcript of their now
burned Bible Records I have spells it Argent, but as Mary Jane said, it is
probably the same name. This Hardy family may also have been from
Craven/Lenoir Co and connected with the same Phillips family but that has
never been proven.
