connection.
Dear Mr. Fox, I'm very interested in any connection between your
Brittains and Brittain King, who lived in Craven Co. NC in the late
1700s. He provided the bond when a woman named Argent King married
Moses Rountree (I think in 1786 or 1789). She was clearly born about
1760, and I'm trying to find out who Argent King's parents were and who
Brittain King was. Were any of your King or Hardy families in eastern
North Carolina? Craven, Lenoir, Dobbs, Jones, Johnston, etc. counties?
I'm interested in that Brittain connection because of Brittain
King's connections to the Phillips and Hardy families in
Craven, Lenoir and Pitt. Thanks again for your note.
