Subject: [HARTRUM] Two "new" 1850 Pennsylvania Hartrum families
Date: Mon, 28 Apr 2003 14:11:47 -0400

There are two Hartrum families in Pennsylvania's 1850 census that are
not yet included in the Hartrum family tree. They are:

Pennsylvania's 1850 census for Springfield twp., Montgomery co., page
29, Family 7 (living on farm of Abraham HEYDRICK):

William HARTRUM, age 47, born PA, laborer.
Margaret, age 47, born PA.
Isabel, age 19, born PA, deaf.
Eran (male), age 14, born PA, deaf.
Rowland, age 12, born PA.

I'm curious - would 2 children in the same family be born deaf? Or
is it more likely that they lost their hearing later due to a single
cause?

Pennsylvania's 1850 census for Southwark, Ward 5, Philadelphia co.,
Family 376 (living with ROBERTS family -- a shoemaker):

George HARTRAM (HARDRAM?), age 28, born PA, shoemaker.

Does anyone have any further information about any of these
individuals?

Cheers, -- Dave
