The other day someone was talking about a book entitled, "Harveys and Allied
Families of Louisiana and Texas". Well, I found this book in the Fort Worth
Public Library. It is a very big book and from scanning through it and
reading the index for names relating to my Harveys, I have discovered that
this book is mostly about the Blassingame Harvey branch of the Harvey family.
I took a few notes about his father. Also, a Charles Harvey and I remember a
Littleberry Harvey. Someone on the list said that if they could get a certain
number of people interested in this book it would be reprinted. From looking
at it and reading bits and pieces of it, it appears to be a book worth
reading and buying. I believe this Blassingame Harvey is probably a cousin of
some degrees to my Harveys. So if we can have enough people show enough
interest in it maybe we could get it reprinted. The book had the address of
the author in it and also the address of some contributors. I personally feel
this would be a invaluable tool for our list. I can go back and do some more
reading in it and take somes notes if ya'll would like me to before you
decide on it. Just let me know and contact me off the list privately.
