I am trying to locate the town in Ireland the first John Haviland/Havlin came from, and what happened to his family..the rest of the names listed, and what the original surname was. The 1850 Census for Boston, Massachusetts lists them as follows:
John Havlin, age 44 (b.c1806 in Ireland..laborer
Ann age 43 (b. c1807 in Ireland)
John B. Haviland age 14 (b. September 3, 1835 in East Boston/Suffolk County, Massachusetts)
James age 12 (b. c1838 in E. Boston, etc.)
Micheal age 9 (b. c1841 in " " " )
Dermont/Bernard age 5 (b. c1845 in E. Boston, etc.)
Ann age 1 (b. c1849 in E. Boston, etc).

I am also trying to find out where John B. went after leaving
Connecticut after 1870. He divorced his wife, Amorena or Amanda Keene, of Brooks/Belfast, Maine, and supposedly emigrated to Tennessee, dying in "South Pillsburg". I have not been able to find such a town or trace his death, see if he remarried there or had any more kids. If anyone can connect to this, my late father's family, please let me know. Thank-you...Linda Haviland
