Dear List,

I have in my possestion the 1883 annual report of the Mission
Childrens Society along with the 1881 report. Since I believe these are
clear of copyrights I will do look up's in them and give excerts from
them.
They have a list in the back of all active members in this
society plus birth , marriage and death info. Under marriages the
fallowing appears in the 1883 report.

Marriages

First on this list we must mention the double wedding of the two
daughters of the late Rev. C.B. and Mrs. Annie S. ANDREWS, formerely of
Makawao, Maui, the notice of which came just to late to be inserted in
last years list, but not too late to admit of thier married names and
addresses. This year Mrs S.G. ANDREWS makes her new sons members of the
society. Very tasteful wedding cards were recieved from them this year.
July 5,1882 , Fred D. SHEPARD, M.D., to Miss Fannie P. ANDREWS,
both missionaries under appointment of the A.B.C.F.M. to Aintab ,
Turkey.
Also July 5,1882, Robert Neal, M.D. of New York, to Miss Flrence
N. ANDREWS, late of Makawao,Maui.
In Honolulu, July 1882, Mr. Samuel E. MANN to Miss Sophia E.
EMERSON of Waialua.
In St. Agustine, Florida, April 12,1883, Mr. John W. SANFORD to
Miss Lucy K. REYNOLDS ( Miss REYNOLDS is a grandchild of Rev. Hiram
BINGHAM, pioneer missionary to these islands.)
In Honolulu, MAY____, Mr. John M. OAT to Miss Lydia FULLER, of
San Francisco.
We note in the Friend for June the fallowing item: "Married in
Keytesville, Michigan, May 3,1883 Mr John Diell BLANTON to Anna Hawes
MILLER. Mr. DIELL is the son of Mary (DIELL) BLANTON, youngest daughter
of Rev John DIELL , the first seamans chaplain of Honolulu. She was born
in Honolulu.
Another very delightful golden wedding was celebrated in
Honolulu on the 2nd of October,1882, at the Nuuanu cottage of Rev. and
Mrs Lowell SMITH, when many choice letters and papers of reminiscience
were read, as well as several poems, prepared for the occasion. One of
these poems was from the pen of Mrs DIELL, widow of Rev. John DIELL, who
was a fellow passenger to these islands with Mr and Mrs Lowell SMITH.
