Judy,
Yes, plantation workers were included in the census. Do you know what island
they were on in 1910? Errors are often made in Census indexes. Also, the
Enumerators often reported names incorrectly (perhaps they did not understand
the language of the person who was giving them information or the person
giving information misunderstood the questions). If you cannot find your
ancestor in the index, you must then go to the census sheets and search sheet
by sheet. If you know what town they were in or what plantation they worked
on, you can start there.
