Hello all,
Just a quick note to let you know of some changes in the Hawaii GenWeb
Project. In 1999 our major focus will be on providing online data to the
genealogical and historical researchers who use our project in their work.
We will make a strong effort to obtain and post various types of records
online for the free use of all. In order to make this easier, a new page is
online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/hi/hisubmit.htm
with information and instructions for submitting data for inclusion.
On that page you can also find the new automated bulletin board submission
system for six types of records: obituaries, biographies, wills, deeds,
bible records, and pension records. Instructions on how to submit other
records, such as census, cemetery, vital, military, land, immigration, and
other records, can also be found on that page. I hope you will take a look,
and help by submitting any records you may have. As this work gathers
momentum, we will have a need for volunteers to coordinate various parts of
it, so at some point I will come looking for extra help.
