BETTY: I thought you and the other subscribers might like to know why
this particular subscriber hasn't posted messages as yet. I am a haole
who lived in the islands for 21 years, married a local boy and had
children there. I considered myself a Kama'aina although not technically
accurate. I moved back and forth across the ocean several times already
and may be able to move back again some day. I still have grown children
and grandchildren there. As for genealogy, I have been busy researching
other lines, but I watch the list messages for Hawaii "news" and
unfortunately for obituaries. In the future, especially when I seriously
get into researching the Japanese in-laws' ancestors, I hope there will be
some on-line clues as to how to document Japan roots.
