Aloha, Mary - The Smith family I knew was on Maui; living in the Kahana/Napili
area. The lady was Hazel Dowd Smith, and her husband was known as "Buddy".
He was a supervisor at Pioneer Mill, the sugar cane processing site in
Lahaina. He was deceased by the time I met Hazel in the early 1970's. As I
recall, Hazel had a son who lived in the Pacific Northwest...I think Seattle.
Hazel was active in the Episcopal church; Holy Innocents on Front Street,
Lahaina, was our parish. Hazel first came to Lahaina in 1920 or 1922. I know
there are a lot of Smiths...hope this may have been of some help. jwtkins
