My name is Vicki Viotti, technology feature writer for The Advertiser. I'm working up a piece on genealogical research software/Web resources, especially as they apply to Hawaii (most of these resources seem to be Euro-centric and of marginal use to Hawaii residents of Asian/Pacific ancestry).

I came across this e-mail list, and I'm interested in communicating with anyone who would be willing to relate their experiences/frustrations/successes with researching genealogy using some technological means (Web/software). Beyond your personal experiences, I'm interested in general thoughts on the impact (and limitations) of such digital technology on amateur genealogy.
