Subject: Fiji Labour Corps photo
Date: Sat, 22 Jun 2002 22:37:55 +1200

In May 1917 the Fiji Labour Corps, a group of 100 Fijian soldiers, and 17
chiefs, left Fiji to got to World War 1 in France, via Honolulu. When in
Honolulu their photo was taken, maybe by a newspaper, maybe by someone
official.

I am researching all the Fijian soldiers in WW1, and would dearly like to
obtain a copy of this photo, for the book I am writing.

Could some kind person see if they can locate this photo, probably in
whatever newspaper was around in 1917, and give me the reference and the
address of the source, so I can get a copy?
Thanks, Christine Liava'a
