Subject: Migration to new server

The Hawaii list will be migrating to a new distribution program (Mailman
rather than Smartlist) in the near furure. List users should not notice
much difference in receipt of mail UNLESS you receive both the list mail and
the digests. Mailman will not allow list mail and digest mail to go to the
same address, so if you subscribe to both the list and digests, one or the
other will have to go unless you wish to subscribe under two different
addresses.

One other quirk that Mailman does not like is the use of the BCC address to
the list -- to individuals should be OK but not to the list.

I will send out another notice when the migration takes place.

One more thing -- if you use the -L or -D (Hawaii-L or Hawaii-D) to sort
your mail on -- that sorting rule will have to change. I am not sure
exactly how the Digests will be sent out, but I know the -L will be dropped
from the list name.

As the migration started, some users had problems because of their accept
and reject lists according tot ha spam lists they set op == AOL was one, so
if you use the -L or -D to accept or reject messages, make sure your lists
are chnaged!
