Sarah Catherine Hawthorne married John Wesley Sexton in Missouri. They had several children and lived in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Sarah died and was buried, 1901 in Pawnee, Pawnee County, Oklahoma. John Wesley Sexton never remarried after the death of his wife, Sarah. He died in the 1940's also in Pawnee Pawnee County, Oklahoma.
Retirement records from the husband of one of Sarah's sisters states that the girls were 1/2 Deleware and 1/2 Pawnee Indian.
