Hi Anita,
My mother told me the John's parent's died, probably during the flu epidemic in the 1900's. John had 2 brothers, Joseph and Frank and 1 sister, Margaret, the eldest. The 3 boys were brought up in an orphanage, but Margaret wasn't, maybe because she was older. Margaret lived in downtown Brooklyn in the Williamsberg area. Joe lived in Flatbush near my Mom. He had 2 sons, Robert (Bobby) and Joseph and 1 daughter, Margaret (Peggy). We don't have a death certificate for John, but I should write away for one, as we know very little about this side of the family. John passed away when I was very young and my grandmother remarried.
