Munson info FYI from Rootsweb queries.
There has been speculation that perhaps Munsons and Heddens and others
traveled together from NJ to the south.
The first paragraph gives us some indication when Gilbert may have left NJ.
If the date is correct then Gilbert's youngest, Abraham, would have been
about 4 years old and Charity [his future wife], about 2 years old. It also
looks like the Allens may have been in the group also.

Samuel MUNSON, b. Wallingford, Conn. 1717; mar. 3 times;
moved with parents Solomon MUNSON/Martha MOSS to Morristown, N.J. Left
for
North Carolina before the Revolution. Died in Fayette Co., Ky. His
father Solomon
d. in Morristown.

In the late 1800's/early 1900's, a boarding house in Lackawana Co., PA was
run by several
MUNSON sisters. My grandfather, John H. MUNSON, was a professional piano
tuner at the
Scranton Conservatory of Music in the early 1900's. My grandfather and most
of his siblings were
born in Dalton, Pa. 1867-1876, children of John B. & Minerva (Brooks) MUNSON.
