Linda & Maurice

I have gone over the Percy family and probably sorted them out

All the children were born in The Spen Valley area but all baptised in
Gawthorpe which is not in that valley, so probably the births took place at
the mothers parents in Purlwell.

The missing marriage to Lily Ineson took place in Purlwell St Andrew
24.1.1951
PERCY Hemingway, 42, widower & colliery worker, 36 Bridle Lane, Ossett, JOHN
HENRY (dec), miner
LILY Ineson, 25, spinster, 31 Queen Street, Batley, --------, --------
Witnesses; Rayner Blakeley, Ernest Halloway

And you will see that he was widowed, I have not found the burial or death
of Caroline his first wife
I checked the Wakefield deaths on their website, no Caroline or Percy,
sopresumably they are buried in Dewsbury area

Children were all bapt in Gawthorpe
Joyce dau of Caroline
12.5.1939 JOYCE, dau of PERCY/CAROLINE, of 86 Bridle Lane, Ossett, surface
worker

Children of Lily
16.9.1951 PHILIP, son of PERCY/LILY, of 86 Bridle Lane, Ossett, colliery
worker
19.4.1953 MARGARET, dau of PERCY/LILY, of 3 Earlsheaton Street Chickenley,
colliery surface worker
18.5.1954 BARBARA, dau of PERCY/LILY of 4 Earlsheaton Street, Chickenley,
colliery surface worker

As far as Andrea born c1948, she could be dau of Lily before the marriage
Andrea's marriage gives Percy as the father and could have been he adopted
Andrea or just gave her his surname

5.11.1966
KEVAN ANTHONY Lee, 19, bachelor & miner, 25 Syke Ing Close, Chickenley,
Sydney, miner
ANDREA Hemingway, 18, spinster & weaver, 4 Earl Street, Chickenley, PERCY,
miner
Witnesses; PERCY Hemingway, P R Pickles

I think thatsorts it out, but see if you can find anything missing

Ron
