Dear Mr. Zincavage,
I am a student of British heraldry and thus perfectly aware of the existence
of the office of the Clarenceux King of Arms, as well as that D.H.B.
Chesshyre LVO is a current holder of this office.
As you might have seen from my posts, I don't use the name of office on my
signature next to my name. Nor, as you might guess, I impale my arms with
the arms of office, nor ensign my shield with the King of Arms coronet. I
just use it as some sort of a nickname.
DISCLAIMER:
I MAKE NO PRETENSION TO THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF THE OFFICE OF THE
CLARENCEUX KING OF ARMS.
Finally, I'd like to say that I'm half Russian and half Polish. I prefer to
view history from the point of International Law, as it makes it rather
neutral. Regrettably, for some reason, some posters chose to forget the
International Law and study history from the ultra-nationalilstic
Polish/Lithuanian
point of view. I can see no other explanation of constantly calling the
Grand Dukes of Lithuania (who were actually more Russian than Lithuanian,
because they all had Russian wives and thus half-Russian children, not to
mention that the earliest Grand Dukes were usually Russian Orthodox)
"Illustrious and Noble", while calling the Grand Dukes of Moscow "rapists
and robbers".
I just wonder, Gentlemen, how do you view the Norman Conquest of 1066. As a
rape and a robbery? Would you dare to call HM the Queen a person, enjoying
the title, stolen from a victim, the Saxon kings?
I thought to find here rather friendly tone of the posts. Unfortunately, I
did not. After receiving several messages privately regarding Russia and
Russians, I begin to find posters of this list disgusting. I decided not to
interfere in your ultra-nationalistic forum and unsubscribe.
Adieu.
