Val,

The 1920 census questions were asked according to the family
make-up on Jan. 1, 1920, so if your mother was born in August of
1920, she won't be enumerated. If you want to send me the names
of her parents, their ages and birthplace, I may be able to find them.
Have you found them in 1930?

If you have any future requests, please post them directly to the
HI-CENSUS-LOOKUP list, so your information is archived at
rootsweb. It's also the best way to make contact with other distant
family members who may be trying to find a connection.

<< Marilyn,

I just read your reply about finding someone in the Oahu 1920 Census. Can
you do another look up? I've been trying to find out if my ggrandparent's (&
grandfather), other set of ggrandparents (grandmother) were in Honolulu in 1920.

My mother was born in Lahina 8-21-20, unfortunately, I can't fina any birth
record for her, delayed & any other kind. I don't know when the family moved
to Honolulu but an aunt was born there in 1924. I have her birth records but
not my Mom's. I've tried every known name for her & zip. Tried every Catholic
church in Lahina & Wailuku, but nothing.

I would appreciate it immensely if you could look up the 1920 Census for
Honolulu & Lahina. Is this possible? If not, I do understand.
Aloha, Val
