Hello All,
I finally have some new information on my HILL line and am hoping it
will provide the break I need! Thanks to the help of a generous man in
Dyer who transcribed a cemetery, I have the following:

1 William HILL

Dyer Co., TN. (J.K. is most likely "James.")
............. +Lula B. SMITH b: 1861 d: 1897, Married 1886

.................... 3 Tessie Hill

I'm hoping the less common name, MOUSE, will be helpful. I've spotted a
Sallie MOUSE married in West VA (on a FTM CD that I don't have). There
is a William HILL on the 1900 Dyer Co. Census of about the right age,
but it is difficult to read. It shows him being born in TN, parents
from ?(there's a squiggle there as if to indicate, "don't know.") It's
an odd entry as census entries go. A dau. born in Oct. 1868 (L******
Topalia?), a son with an entry that just says "Hill" (1888), and a son
named Paul (Aug 1895?).

J.K. HILL is related to my GGG Grandfather Tobe HILL. I suspect that
they are brothers. It's possible that they are one and the same, as
Tobe may be a nickname. For Tobe I have:
