Philip & Louisa were Roman Catholics & had 6 children: Philip, Maryann, Andrew, Margaret, Catherine & Joseph. Philip owned shoemaker shop on Carson St on Pittsburgh's South Side & later was a carpenter for J&L Steel.

Seek descendants of Joseph LEW & Mary Magdalena HIRSCH and any info on ancestors of Joseph. Have census records. 1900 census finds this family at 2708 Jane St. in Pittsburgh's South Side; 1910 at 14 S 27th St., Pittsburgh; 1920 at 2043 Brownsville Rd., Carrick; & 1930 a widowed Joseph with son, Robert, at 110 Hamaday Rd., Pittsburgh.
