Surry Co VA on 3-16-1744, the Register of
Albermarle Parish has Howell Hight baptized as the son of
William Hight, wife Ann Hight. The Godparents were James
Adkins, Mary Adkins and Daniel Malone.

****************Robert Bolling surveyed 361 acres on both
sides of Rocky Run for John Hill and Cuthbert Williamson in 1718
and they secured it with a patent 28 September 1730. One John
Hill had 200 acres in Prince George County on both sides of
Rocky Run in 1730, and 204 acres in Prince George County on
Tommahitton Swamp in June 1733. John Hill and undoubtedly
his son, John Hill Jr., held land next to each other on both sides of
Rocky Run of Stoney Creek in Prince George County in July 1738.
The elder Hill had 232 acres and his son, 400 acres. John Hill
had land on Jones Hole Swamp in Prince George County when
Michael Hill Jr. got a patent there for 100 acres

*************this Daniel Malone was later in Halifax Co Va, but
this land in 1748 probably included the part of present Charlotte
Co Va, where dictionary Hight-Hite lived; descendants of Thomas
Hite who had son John Hight born 1726
