Yes Penny that is the line that I was asking you about. You sent me complete
details of that line some time ago, and through several changes in computers
and hard drives I had managed to lose it. Could you please resend that list?
Now back to my original question; are they in Jay's book, is it worth my
time purchasing it, and how much does it cost? Thank you and the rest of the
list for your help.

By the way I was at FHC yesterday and found the 1900, and 1930 census for
Lineus (one of many different ways I have seen his name spelled) Hobson, and
family. By 1930 he was lodging by himself in Los Angeles. I have also found
several references to the Hobsons, and the Healds in Hinshaw's. I am
currently transcribing the 1850 Washington Co., OH census for the Rootsweb
Census Project which has Stephen as HoH and John as a boy of 15. So the
paper trail is relatively easy.

Your Lineus D. Hobson was born 18 Jan 1859. He was the son of John W.
Hobson who married Mary Ann Heald, 2 Dec. 1857 in Plymouth Meeting,
Washington Co. OH. Mary Ann was born 1841 in OH, the dau. of Levi and Lydia
Heald. Mary d. 20 Oct. 1871 in Poyner Twp. Black Hawk Co. Iowa. This
family is out of Francis, the emigrant b. ca 1705 and his wife, Ann Mackey
b. ca 1720 born Ireland. One of their sons was Joseph Hobson who married
Ann Scoggin in PA ca 1777. They moved to Richmond, OH Jefferson County,
where they died and are buried.

Family descendants beginning with:
Francis, Francis, and Francis, the emigrant, his son Joseph;
Joseph's son John and John's son Stephen
Stephen's son John W. Hobson the father of only one child Lineus D.
James R. Hobson, born 1825 in Indiana
Check Washington County, OH and Washington Co. Public Library,
Marietta,Ohio for Heald records. Jefferson County , OH will yield countless
records on the Hobson Family.
