Hi R. Hobson!
First of all what does the R stand for?
As you know I am Forrest.
a.. My father's mother was Florance HOBSON. (Grand mother)
b.. She was the daughter of Linneaus HOBSON and Nellie SPERRY. (Great Grandfather)
c.. He was the son of John Watt HOBSON and Mary Ann HEALD. (2X g-grandfather)
d.. John was son of Stephen HOBSON and Lydia WATT (3X g-grandfather)
e.. Stephen Watt was the son of John HOBSON and Belinda FORD (4X g-grandfather)
f.. Thomas was the son of John HOBSON and Belinda FORD (4X g-grandfather)
g.. John was the son of Joseph HOBSON and Ann SCOGGINS (5X g-grandfather)
The Thomas HOBSON I was looking at is the brother of Stephen HOBSON listed above. He would be my 3rd g-grand uncle. Stephen of course would be my 3X g-grandfather. The Thomas HOBSON that you told me about was a younger member.
a.. Thomas HOBSON (2nd cousin 4X)
b.. son of Steven Ford HOBSON and Mary Jane ANDREWS (1st cousin 5X)
c.. son of James HOBSON and Sarah FORD (4th g-grand uncle)
d.. son of Joseph HOBSON and Ann SCOGGINS (5X g-grandfather)
I did not have the line you gave me in my database, so your information was very helpful. Would you have any sources that I could include?
You are aware that the Joseph line goes back to Francis HOBSON I of Co Armagh, Ireland who was a martyr for the Quaker cause?
Hope to hear again from you soon.
