I checked my files and found the following records that are xeroxed and which
I've typed up....some spelling and a couple of words I'm not sure about......
from the Virginia State Library.

This Deed of Gift made and indented this eightenth day of July in the Year of
our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty seven By Welcome William Hodges
of the Parish of Saint James Northam in the County of Goochland planter do
give unto my three Sons Benj Hodges William Hodges and Jesse Hodges a tract
of land containing three hundred acres for the considertion of the paternal
Love and affection I bear unto my afsaid sons which said parcel is conveyed
out of a parcell or Tract of Lant Pattented by me the said Welcome William
Hodges containing four hundred acres bearing date the twenty seventh day of
January 1734 which said parcell of three Hundred Acres is conveyed out of
this afsaid pattent lying in Goochland County to my afsaid three Sons Benj
Willm and Jesse Hodges to be equally divided among my three Sons Benjm
William and Jesse Hodges when my said Son Jesse shall arrive to the Age of
twenty one years or any time hear they shall think convenient after he shall
arrive to the age afsaid which said land I do hereby give and grant as afsaid
to my sons Benjamin William and Jesse Hodges and to their heirs forever free
and clear from me the Welcome William Hodges my Heirs Executed or free and
clear from every person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixd my seal the day and year above written.

At a court held for Goochland County July the 19th 1757. Welcome William
Hodges acknowledged this Deed to be his Act of Deed which was ordered to be
recorded

This Indenture made the first Day of Nov one thousand seven hundred & forty
eight Between Henry Turner & James Turner of the County of Goochland of the
one part, and Welcome William Hodges of Goochland County of the other part
Witneseth that the said Henry Turner & James Turner for and in Co;nsideration
of the sum of Twenty pounds curr. money of Virginia in hand paid to the
aforsaid Henry Turner 7 Jeames Turner by the aforsaid Welcome Wm Hogg hath
given granted Bargainned and sold alend (?) Enpeosed (?) and Confirmed and by
these presents doth give grant bargin sell aliend Enseoth (?) & confirm unto
the said Welcome William Hogges & to his heirs forever one certain Tract or
parcle of Land containing by Estamation two hundred acres of Land being
bounded as followeth /to wit/Begining at a corner white oak on Col John Sim
deed line and Northwardly along that line to a white oak on the County line
Thence Eastwardly and along that line to Treavures (sp?) run the same was
granted unto the aforsaid Welcome William Hogges by letters pattond bearing
date the Twenty seventh Day of January one thousand seven hundred and thirty
four the same was acknowledged by a deed of gift by him the affsaid Welcome
William to the aforesaid Henry Turner and James Turner as will appear by the
County Court of Goochland. Together with all houses orchards Gardens Fences
and all other appurtenances to the same belonging to have and to hold the
aforesaid land and premisses with the appurtenances unto the aforesaid
Welcome William Hogges and to his heirs forever and the aforesaid Henry
Turner and Jeames Turner Doth hereby Covenant and agree to and with the
aforsaid Wm Hoggs his heirs and for themselves of there heirs that they will
warrant the aforesaid land and premises unto the aforsaid Welcome William
Hogges and to his heires of aforsigns forever.
