The McCombs Family became a part of our family line when their daughter Jane
Benjamin Hodges in Mercer County KY. They had 8 children and our line
descends from
their seventh child, Gelon Jesse Hodges.

Bio. James McComb came from County Antrim (1776) to Cumberland Co, PA;
American Army within six weeks of arrival, advancing from Pvt. to Brig. Gen;
Westmoreland County, later Indiana County PA; member of State Legislature (13
served in War of 1812 as Genl of Penna Militia; monument to Genl James
McComb in
Bethel Pres. Churchyard, near Blairsville, PA. (see McComb file)
