Hello Barbara, I had wrote to you in last December 2009 a mail with question to Hoff family history, but had no becomes a answers and so I will wrote to you again in this message board. In searching to old record informations I had found a death record from year 1931 to a Jacob Hoff, where was living with his wife Barbara Schuett Hoff in Mansfield, 15 Lafayette Place by his death. In record was wrote, thas his parent are Jacob Hoff and his wife Elisabeth Langerman. The family was origin from Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Jacob Hoff was living from 1888 to 1931.
In marriage are born this children with name Jacob, John, Joseph and Michael Hoff. This is what I know in moment. Had you heard from this Langerman family in your family history. I know, thats she is possibility from Langermann family from village Franzfeld. Had you heard from this village in your Hoff family history!
